Student Advisory Council
The Undergraduate Student Advisory Council (USAC) brings together students representing each college, international and domestic students, transfer and first time in college students, and students at different points in their academic careers. The purpose of this group is to:
- Discuss improvements to the undergraduate student experience to help build a university where students can grow academically, as well as, socially.
- Serve as a liaison between students and the Office of the Provost.
- Provide a student voice to help shape priorities, practices, and initiatives.
- Consider ideas to enhance undergraduate education and student success.
- Discuss concerns about being an undergraduate student on campus.
- Serve as a representative to campus committees as needed.
USAC will be comprised of 13 members:
- 6 college representatives, 1 from each of the colleges
- 7 at-large members
Membership Guidelines:
- Applicants are self-nominated by completing the application form. Applications will be reviewed by Provost staff and existing USAC members.
- Each student may serve up to one, two-year term.
- Members should be able to attend approximately two meetings per semester. Members who miss more than three meetings in a year will be removed from the Council. Class and University-sanctioned event conflicts do not constitute as a missed meeting.
